Educated in Canada, US, Sweden and Israel, I am a Canadian born to Pakistani expat parents in Qatar. From October 2012 to August 2013, I worked as Communications Advisor in Accra at the offices of the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC). My mandate was to ensure that GNECC is successful in fulfilling and communicating its national education policies in line with the UN Millennium Development Goals. My employment background is in bilateral and multi-lateral diplomacy, project management and policy analysis, while my academic background spans the fields of Environment, Economic Development, Public Policy and International Relations. I decided to get involved in Ghana in order to work on policy initiatives that contribute to social and institutional inclusion of women and children.
