I am currently in my 4th year of International Development studies at the University of Waterloo. As part of my 4th year, I am completing a seven-month internship as a Program Support Officer at the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) in Hanoi, Vietnam. SRD works to alleviate poverty and promote more sustainable livelihoods in rural communities, especially within ethnic minority groups. As part of my job, I work with the Sustainable Agriculture team to maintain and improve current projects, foster new partnerships, and create funding proposals. Some of my personal interests include sustainable tourism and agriculture, microfinancing initiatives, and foreign relations. I look forward to exploring these issues in more depth during and after my placement
