My name is Madeline and I'm in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for three months working as a Communications Officer for Saigontourist Hospitality College. The college is a vocational school that specializes in preparing students for the hospitality industry. Often this career path is stigmatized in the ambitious country of Vietnam, but these people work hard to transcend that stereotype and become the best "ambassadors" of their country that they can be. They recognize the importance of first impressions in the tourism industry, and aspire to give foreigners the best lasting impression and positive memories of Vietnam possible. I will be here at the school working to capture that spirit! My partner Jordan and I will be putting our wannabe documentarian heads together to create videos and take photos that accurately reflect the school's energy! That is my work in a nutshell, but there is much more fun to be had in what the locals call "Saigon". Follow my journey!
