I’m a journalist by trade and a storyteller by nature. Over the last 13 years, my work has brought me to and from East Africa in a number of capacities – researcher, journalist and now communications advisor for Uniterra in Tanzania.
Uniterra recognizes that women and youth face the greatest barriers to increasing their social and economic wellbeing and is therefore working to provide poor and marginalized women and youth with opportunities to overcome discrimination within market systems—specifically in the fruit and vegetable and tourism sectors.
Over the next 12 months, I'll be gathering and sharing stories of Uniterra successes, partner profiles, impact stories and lessons learned. Check back frequently to find reflections on my work and play in Arusha, Tanzania.
