I am volunteering with the Coalition of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (COWLHA) in research, documentation and advocacy for the next 8 months from September 2017 to April 2018. I will be living in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. While at COWLHA I will be helping to develop an advocacy strategy, writing proposals, doing research on a variety of topics and assisting with documentation and social media.
In addition to my mandate, I will be exploring Malawi and learning about it’s people and culture. Malawi is a small but beautiful country in the central-southern region of Africa from its mountains and lakes to busy markets in Lilongwe. I hope you enjoy reading about my time here.
The Volunteers’ Blog is a space open to all volunteers engaging in international cooperation. It is a space for volunteers to share their experiences supporting community and country development accross the globe. Through this initiative, CECI invite you to discover the stories of volunteers all over the world!
