I will be volunteering with the Coalition of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (COWLHA) for 3 weeks in January 2018 as part of Leave for Change. I will be living in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. My mandate is to work with COWLHA to produce tools for caregivers to better assist patients in counselling, to conduct research, and to improve COWLHA’s database system.
In addition to my mandate, I will explore and learn about Malawi; I will also share my experience in living in a complete different environment from Canada and share the story of Malawians.
The Volunteers’ Blog is a space open to all volunteers engaging in international cooperation. It is a space for volunteers to share their experiences supporting community and country development accross the globe. Through this initiative, CECI invite you to discover the stories of volunteers all over the world!
