Our Volunteers

Around the World

The Volunteer Blog is an initiative of CECI, the International Centre for Studies and Cooperation, a Canadian international cooperation organization that supports communities in Africa, Asia and the Americas in the fight against poverty and exclusion through sustainable development projects.

Since 2004, CECI and World University Service of Canada (WUSC) have partnered to run the Uniterra program, a leading Canadian international development program. The Uniterra program is undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada.

The Uniterra program has placed more than 5,500 Canadian volunteers abroad and provided support to over 400 organizations in 14 countries for their development initiatives. through collaboration with international volunteers, 512,000 people in developing countries, 60% of whom are women, have built their skills in a wide range of professional fields.

These men and women are helping to change millions of lives by sharing their knowledge and experience. Read their stories on the Volunteer Blog!
